Exactly as advertised! I did have to tighten the wire a bit, but it was easy enough to do. It is also easy to adjust the slice thickness, and it glides right through a cold block of cheese. I've tried it on soft and medium cheeses so far, but not any hard cheeses. My whole family loves this device! It is easy to clean and store, too.
The only real issue I've faced is that the adjustment locking mechanism seems a bit unreliable at times. It could just be that I didn't tighten the bolt enough, though.

I like the fact I can choose the thickness of cheese slices. Hope it stands the test of time. Good price.
